Amy Calhoun- Director and Educator

Amy’s passion for early childhood education started early when she first worked at a childcare facility when she was 16 years old.  She then went on to get her degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in early childhood education from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri. She taught Kindergarten for one year before moving to Pinedale where she was the director of Pinedale Preschool for 8 years.  She took a year off to be with her own kids and then spent six more years at the Pinedale Preschool as a substitute, teacher’s aide, and then a preschool teacher. She is excited to once again be in the role or director here at BEEP.

Amy believes the most important part of any early childhood education program is the kids and families they get to work with everyday. She is passionate about building programs that support parents and provide the best care possible to the children they are responsible for. She loves that the primary goal here at BEEP is to make children feel safe and comfortable while supporting their growth and development.

JaNee Cox- Assistant Director and Toddler Room Educator

JaNee is a caring, nurturing, and patient teacher. She believes that hands on experiences and the utilization of all our senses to discover the world around us is the best way to learn. JaNee has 16 years of experience in the Early Childhood field and is returning for her second year here at BEEP.

JaNee grew up in Idaho, this is her 9th year in Pinedale. She has three children and two grandchildren. On her spare time she enjoys long walks, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.

Leslie loves helping kids learn through interactive play and exploration.  She is passionate about helping children and believes that early childhood education is one of the most important part of a child’s life. She loves to watch kids grow and become interested in different subjects that they are exploring.  Leslie believes that one of the best ways for a child to truly learn is for them to explore and participate in guided activities that allow them to make their own discoveries, and eventually form their own opinions. Her favorite part of working with children is watching their excitement when they have discovered something new and are excited about learning.

Leslie grew up in Pinedale.  After marrying her husband and living all around the United States, they decided to return to her home town and raise their family.  Leslie and her husband Tyler have two sons, Jaxson (7) and Gabe (6). She enjoys anything outdoors, and her and her family spend as much time outside as possible, making Pinedale the perfect place for them!  Some of Leslie and her family’s hobbies include camping, fishing, horseback riding and hiking in the mountains.
